The newest in 3D HD video technology to be offered by the Panasonic Corporation is the Panasonic TX-P50VT30B. This 50 inch 1080p HD television has all the latest features including two high definition digital tuners, USB HDD and SD card recording, 600 Hz Sub-field technology, WIFI, and Viera Cast.

3D is not just a passing fad. More and more films are being shot in 3D and as a result, consumers want the ability to duplicate what they experienced in the movie theatre while in their own living rooms. With deep image detail, spectacular colours, and smooth motion, the Panasonic Viera TXP50VT30B is what you are looking for. Watching a movie has never been so exhilarating because you now have the ability to view the realistic image that is the 3D experience. Included with the Panasonic TXP50VT30B are 2 pairs of 3D glasses and if you need additional 3D eyewear, they can be purchased separately.

Until now, with the exception of Blue-ray discs, the only way you could enjoy high definition television was by subscribing to an expensive fiber optic cable or a satellite service. The Panasonic TX-P50VT30B has Freeview HD and Freesat HD tuners built in so for the first time, you can receive HD signals through a standard aerial. If you live in an area offering Freeview HD, you can receive free HD channels without paying fees or sign any contracts. If Freeview HD is not available, you can still get free HD through the Freesat HD tuner. With Freesat you don’t need a satellite dish, and like Freeview HD, it’s free.

The Panasonic TX-P50VT30 has wonderful image quality as well as excellent black level response. Calibration control is excellent, allowing you full control over the TX-P50VT30B’s picture quality for strong, forceful images with good gradation in the shadows and a strong black level. When calibrated accurately, the colours are very natural with excellent skin tones and exceptional depth of image. It has good motion resolution with hardly any problems. There are a few inconsistencies in picture brightness, but they are few and they are not as visible as you would find in high definition LED televisions. As to be expected, strong single coloured backgrounds did produce some posterisation and banding.

A huge plus in favor of the Panasonic TX-P50VT30B is its performance in 3D mode as it has almost no artifacts or cross talk. In THX 3D mode, the picture has good colour accuracy and can be further improved with its outstanding calibration controls. You can purchase a third-party calibrator that will calibrate your picture automatically using your laptop and a sensor that you connect to your screen. This way you can get perfect calibration with little effort but for all but the most obsessive however, using your own eyes does a marvelous job.

The Panasonic TX-P50VT30B is an extremely good television with outstanding picture quality and the best black levels found in any television this year. It’s as close to perfect as any consumer television can get with its outstanding 2D and 3D picture. It won’t be easy finding a better all around television than the Panasonic TX-P50VT30B.
